Shez is a British-Pakistani composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in London.

With a background in guitar performance and jazz, his musical influences come from a variety of genres including jazz, soul, hip hop, rock, electronic as well as classical Indian and Pakistani music. He released his self-produced debut EP ‘Our Time’ in 2022 and has had songs played on national radio by BBC Introducing, Reprezent Radio and Threads. He’s also collaborated with artists such as Elaha Soroor, anaiis and Baby Sol.

His recent work for film and tv includes writing for Clarkson’s Farm, scoring and writing original music for seasons 1 and 2 of the Bafta-winning musical comedy series ‘We are Lady Parts’ , which gained him a Music+Sound Awards nomination and finalist spot for Best Original Composition in a TV Score, and working as co-composer alongside Tom Howe on the award-winning Focus Features action/comedy film 'Polite Society’, which premiered at Sundance in February 2023 and has been screened in the US and UK.
